Three injured as car falls into Lidder nallah after bus hit in Pahalgam | KNO

Anantnag, Jun 24 (KNO): Three persons were injured after an Alto car plunged into the Lidder Nallah following a collision with a bus in the Sarbal area of Pahalgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday, officials said. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that an Alto car bearing registration number JK03E-0333 was travelling from Pahalgam to Anantnag with two passengers on board when it was allegedly hit from behind by a bus bearing registration number JK19A-9907 near Sarbal. He said that following the collision, the car skidded off the road and fell into the Lidder Nallah, causing extensive damage to the vehicle. Police and traffic personnel rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. The driver and the two occupants were safely evacuated and shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH), Pahalgam, for treatment. “No fatalities were reported in the incident, and all three injured persons are in stable condition,” the official said. Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation.—(KNO)
